Remember the little dude I featured in this post? This is him today on his 14th birthday.
He’s my favorite son, my only son, my middle child. He’s not as high-maintenance as his sisters are so he definitely flies under the radar. A lot. He doesn’t ask for much so it might seem like he gets everything that he wants. He’s far from being spoiled but he’s no angel either. He’s your typical teen-aged boy who scores pretty high in the attitude department. Luckily for me, he doesn’t give me too many headaches. It does drive me crazy though when he does a load of his own laundry and forgets to separate the light clothing and dark clothing. But hey, that’s one less load for me to do so who am I to complain?
Here’s to you, Sebastian. If you’re reading this, let it serve as a reminder that on this day in 2002, the Giants could have won the World Series but instead they lost Game 6 then ultimately went on to lose Game 7. But even though the baseball gods weren’t in our favorite that weekend, The Dude Upstairs did bless us with you and for that I’m forever grateful.
